We all need a support system, whether it’s your family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, or even support group. We need someone or some people in our lives that we can go to for anything.
When it comes to support system, the first thought that comes to my mind is Family. Family is my number one support system. Without my family, I wouldn’t be here. They have been there thick and thin, through all the trials and tribulations, and never once doubted their support. We’ve gone through hurdles after hurdles and pain after pain but the support for one another was always there. Just like any family, we’ve had out differences and disagreements. We all had our moments of not being at fault. But regardless of our differences, we manage to come together in times of need. We find ways to bring compromise into the middle and support a positive result.
Family doesn’t always mean blood related. Family comes in all forms and shapes. You can have a blended family or even friends who become family. Throughout the years, people come into your life who make a unforgettable mark. The bond you create with them can become so strong, that you’ve become a family. Family friends are friends who become your family because of the connection made being so strong like a family. You don’t have to see them everyday or talk with them constantly but it’s a the way of knowing that you care for them.
I used believe that having a big group of friends was the best thing. We would all hang out together and make plans for the next meetings. But just as in everything there was a pro and a con of being in a bing group. Although it may seem like having a big group of people seems like a bing support system, it’s not the case all the time. Sometimes, having a small niche of people in a group makes you closer.
One of the most amazing network I’ve had was through moms groups on social media. Yes, its amazing on what kind of connection you can make with moms of instagram and facebook. You find common things in life and share ideas and concerns with one another. It’s a way to network and find support through daily motherhood struggles or successes and find comfort through the connection you make. It’s a great support system to have.
Life gets only when you’re trying to do things all on your own. You need to have that support group that can not only be there for you but also guide you in times of need. Be sure to have that support group around so that you have a strong building block.
